My Milestones

Emilia Week One

Things That Soothe Me:
*Sucking on Mommy or Daddy’s finger
*Being bounced to sleep on exercise balls
*Getting to soak in a warm bath
*Being cuddled

Things That Make Me Cry:
*Not sleeping
*Not enough milk
*Getting out of the warm bath

The Week in Brief:
* The delivery room table rocked when Dr. Satorie pulled me out of my Mommy! * My pregnant Dr. exclaimed “I almost delivered my own baby pulling Emilia out.” * I latched on minutes after my delivery and I breast feed like a pro! * I can already pull my head up (at an angle), to see my new world around me * Every nurse in the ward was talking about the “huge” Glass baby * No one could believe a newborn could be so big and healthy * Grandpa Donald and Grandma Mae stayed over with us and helped Mom and Dad get used to being new parents * Grandma Mae decorated the house with flowers and cooks great lunches for all of us to enjoy! * I sleep in a wooden bassinet at night that is over five decades old in our family...My Mom, my Aunt and Uncle, and my Great Uncles all slept in the same bassinet * Dad and Grandpa Donald were in charge of putting the bassinet together so I could have a cozy first night at home
